Some questions you might have about my workshops

Question: how much practice do I get when attending to your workshops?
Answer: LOTS. My workshops are 100% hands on. Yes I talk a lot but the way it works is basically I will explain and exemplify something and then it’s your turn to try it out and I’ll be there for you while you shoot.

Q: I purchased a tutorial and I cannot run the downloaded file.
A: Most likely the tutorial you downloaded is a big video file and it has been split into multiple zip files. You need to download them all into a single folder on your computer and run the one ending in .zip. For a full explanation on how to do this, please watch this video.

Q: What if I booked a workshop and something happens and I cannot attend to it?
A: If something happens and you can’t make it to the date you booked, we can move you to the next available date for that particular class.

Q: What if a class gets cancelled by you because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances?
A: In case something happens and we cannot run a class, we will try to accomodate everyone on new dates but you are entitled to a 100% refund. If you have booked through one of our partners you are entitled to a refund minus their fees, which can vary.

Q: How many students do you have in one class?
A: For some classes I require a minimum of 4 and for others a minimum of 5. I try to keep my classes tight and we can have a maximum of 10 or 15 participants depending on the class. Classes that include models will have more models available depending on the number of students so we make sure everyone is getting as much practice as they can.

Q: Do you provide any sort of ongoing support after the workshops?
A: Yes of course! We have a brand new secret Facebook group you will be invited to after your class. In that group you’ll get support from me and the rest of the community, as well as being able to help others, share your work so we can see you evolving, etc. We are very particular about the type of feedback given in this group and we will not be tolerant of people that don’t show a courteous behaviour so no matter what level you are in, we got you covered!

Q: Do I need expensive equipment to attend to your workshops?
A: Each workshop will require different things but the short answer is NO. If you have a camera that can take photos in Manual mode you are all set. For some classes we do advise to check the requirements for equipment but they are more of a guideline for you to get the most out of them. For classes that include a model (portrait, fashion, etc) it’s always good to have at least a 50mm cheap lens, but if you don’t own one, I can still show you how to take great portraits with whatever you have. For Night Flash Photography, for example, you do need to own a flash. Even if you can’t use it off camera (e.g. you can’t fire it remotely, only with it on top of your camera) you are still set. If you don’t own a flash I might have one for you to borrow depending on the brand of your camera, so just send me a message ๐Ÿ™‚

Q: I would like to attend with my partner/friend, do we have to book it twice at full price?
A: If you would like to bring someone with you, please go ahead and book your class and let me know as soon as possible how many more people you would like to bring along and I can send you a discount code for 50% off per extra person!

Q: And what if I have a group of friends and we would like to book a workshop for a specific date/time for our group only?
A: I can definitely setup a workshop for you and your friends at a date and time that works for all of us and at a discounted price.

Q: The photos I take during your workshop, are they mine?
A: Yes, of course. There is one thing you need to keep in mind: they are not to be used for any commercial purpose. That means you can post them online anywhere you want, use it in your portfolio, etc. But the images are not to be used in advertising or to be sold in any way. The models also reserve the right to untag themselves on social media or request for you to do so. It’s their image on the line and they have the right to decide if their names are attached to your posts. Don’t take it personally.
